"The Bible" mini series
« on: March 10, 2013, 05:35:44 pm »
I am watching "The Bible" mini series. Is anyone else watching it? What do you think of it so far. I like it, but some of the scenes I have to turn away from.

We have last weeks on the DVR and are recording it this week as well.  My daughter and I are planning on watching it together.  I have seen a lot about it on deifferent shows and seen some sneak peeks that makes me think that it will be really good.  I saw Roma and her husband the other night on TV and they seem to have put a lot into this show.  I think this was something they felt lead to do.  I use to love her in "Touched By An Angel".  Please let me know what you think about it as it shows more.  The last one will be on Easter Sunday, I think.  :dontknow:

I read that the first installment last Sunday got really good reviews.  My husband and I love it.  I like the fact that it is on the History Channel as it is truly historical and Biblical as well.

I've been watching the promo's on tv, but didn't know that it was on the History Channel.  I';ll have to try to catch it.

I saw the first episode and thought is was very well-done.  Supposedly 14.8 million people watched it.  I have the 2nd episode recorded and I'm looking forward to see Goliath whacked by David. I love seeing all the Biblical stories that I know so well, in dramatic form.  Its good for the soul.

I was disappointed that I missed the first installment.  Do you know if it  will be repeated from the beginning before the next episode?

we are watching it, and I do agree, it is much too graphic, but it is history channel and I don't think history channel is for God so much, they want to make God look bad, but He did everything for a reason, they don't show how barbaric the other people that the Christians are fighting are, and why they had to do something about it, in sodom say for instance, they showed the Christians beating them up, but didn't show what they did, it was aweful
