cameras....which one
« on: March 07, 2013, 07:58:46 am »
I am in need of some advice.  I recently started bird watching and would love to start taking pics of the birds.  I am seeing some really cool birds but dont know what they are.  It would really be helpful if I could get pics of them and send to another fellow birdie and get help in species selection. Any suggestions on a good camera with a really good zoom on it?? :dontknow: ??? :dontknow:

If you're looking for something that's not expensive but takes a great picture;we have a Samsung PL210 that takes a fantastic picture and is simple to use.

I recommend the panasonic gh2! It's a little up there in price range, but considerng it's comparable to a Canon7D and costs nearly $2000 less I'd say it's worth the splurge.

It takes some pretty great quality video as well, if you would be interested in that. I don't know if you are even thinking about DSLRs, but these definitely give the best options for experimenting with different lenses and getting yourself a good zoom lens.

no problem! I am living the broke film major lifestyle right now :p, but have been saving up to at least by myself a GH2.

It's one of the best deals out there at the time, from what I've researched :) Also, i know they are coming out (or maybe already have) with a GH3, so you might wanna look into that!
