Do you grown your own vegetables?

How many of you gave your own vegetable garden of at least grow a few vegetables?

I do, there is nothing like eating your own fresh veggies right out of your garden. I grow enough to put some up for winter. My dad loves home canned tomatoes and what ever else i put up.

I have never had a vegetable garden. I would like to someday though. Growing your own food would be a great way to save some money at the grocery store. If I could grow enough I would even sell some at the flea market and make some extra cash that way.

I have a small area that I grow lettuce and tomatoes in.  I would do radishes but for some strange reason they never do anything but grow large plants.  I used to have really good radishes but ever since my dad died I can't get them to grow into radishes.  He loved radishes and I always gave him quite a few but once he was gone my radishes quit growing into radishes.

we grow our own tomatoes,cucumbers,squash,and some peppers..nothing like a fresh tomato from the garden

We built a raised bed garden last year so that we can grow our own tomatoes, peppers and onions this summer.  I am looking forward to homegrown tomatoes!

Not yet, but I'm hoping to start this year.  Like jkhanson, I built a raised garden bed last year, and this year I just need to put up the critter fencing and get some good soil to fill it up, then plant the seeds my brother got me for Christmas.  Hoping I'll get something edible this year!

I love, love, love gardening.  I grow tomatoes, green beans, peas, cucumbers, peppers carrots, radishes, and carrots.  Then I sometimes grow different kinds of lettuce in a different area or a large pot and I also have an herb garden along with several flower beds.  Come On Spring!!

Oh yes, we grow our own crops!  Trying to figure out the layout for this year's garden, in fact.

yes my son grows a garden every year and i look so forward to the home grown veggies-- i eat alot of salads and this is so much cheaper when you grow your own veggies--plus i love yellow squash and have had great luck growing them also--the only thing i have no luck with is corn and the animals get to the corn and eat it--i dont know what to do to keep them out of the corn--scarecrows don't work and i got one of those owls that hoo by motion censor--it must be raccoons --any ideas on what else to try???

I usually have a small garden but this year I am going to step it up and have a little larger garden!  With fruits and vegetables getting so expensive in the grocery stores and you never know whats in them, I am better off growing my own.

how can one afford food without supplementing with your own garden?? i did meet a lady who said that she didnt think that the high cost of watering the plants made it worthwhile i dont know but i love the flavor of homegrown

I always ad a garden, last year in early summer I went out to water the garden before I went to work.  All the vegetables were coming up and I was so excited.  When I came home some animal had entered the garden and there was nothing left.  I don't know if there will be a garden this year.

i enjoyed growing my vegetables.  i especially get excited when they all coming up.

yes ,my family and i we do grow are own vegetables, we have are little area in the back where we plant all kinds of vegetables.
