I honestly don't think people will learn.  it seems they think just because they CAN do something it means they SHOULD do it

This kind of thing baffles me.  Texting while driving nor talking while driving is illegal in my state...and I don't think it should be.  People have to be smart enough to know what they are capable of doing while driving an no amount of laws is going to help that.  Eating, radio, etc...the list is endless.  Some people are capable of using their phone while driving...some aren't....it's the stupidity of individuals that causes things...

So many things can go wrong on a road with all that metal speeding down the road, going in opposite directions.  People never expect the unexpected to happen.  Taking your eyes off the road is a dangerous thing.

When will we learn? My step daughter has just caused a 3-car pile-up in LA by texting on her smart phone! Luckily no one was seriously hurt, but the damage to the vehicles are extensive and this has impacted on my husband's monthly contributions on his car insurance (it has been raised dramatically). Also, he has to pay $500 excess for the damage. All this because someone posted a photo of her on Face Book.   :dontknow:

Wow I've never had the urge to text while driving. I think teenagers really need to be lectured about this in school.

That's really lucky that no one got hurt. As if talking on a phone isn't bad enough, some people think texting while driving is a good idea.
