Facebook Addiction
« on: May 11, 2009, 05:18:53 am »
Is anyone else out there freakishly addicted to facebook? For some reason I feel it necessary to check mine several times a day. I really do nothing more on there then comment on my "friends" statuses. It's become just massly huge. I'm 30 years old and was shocked by the amount of people on there my age (30+) that are on there. Why the obsession?

I use to go on there a lot  but not as much anymore, only to talk to my cousin or see what's going in with regards to events and such.  But I do like the mafia wars game, play around with that every once and awhile.

I think it is just habit sometimes, the first thing I use to always do after my computer booted up is click the star for favorites and click on facebook, and then wondering why the heck I clicked on the link in the first place when I have no reason for going on the site.  Try what I did and put it in a folder or two and you'll probably cut your time you go there by at least half.

Facebook is my new AOL AIM.  I do not even check AIM anymore to keep up with my friends and family.  Facebook is not as quick, but I can still talk with people within a day.  I check Facebook at least once a day.  I am also on MySpace, but I check that like every 3 months.

I'm addicted to both Facebook and Myspace and will frequently check both throughout the day.   :dontknow:  Can't help it.

I joined Facebook last year (because of the promo on this site).

Totally addicted. Traded in myspace for facebook - and yes, I check it all the time. From work, home, cell, it's crazy.

I used to be a facebook addict..but it just seemed like the thrill is gone. Guess Im tired of logging in all the time seeing the same people:-)  I bet if I had a better phone where I could access Facebook easier I might bet addicted again
