I think that this is very tragic.  I hope her children are in good hands and have a better fate.  You just can never tell what is going on in someone's mind.

I don't know her music that well, but she was young.  It is sad that her depression got to that point because she was worried about people finding out.  My daughter lives with depression.  She has thought about suicide several times, and tried at least once.  She is stable now, but it is an ongoing battle.  I have suffered from small bouts of depression myself and it is not something you can just "get over".

Maybe someone famous will bring a little awareness to this condition and keep people from treating it like it has to be kept hidden.

I cannot imagine the pressure famous performers must be under; we have far too many stars who seem to "have it all" end their lives in this tragic way.  Their musical or theater legacies should not be worth the cost of their lives and the price that will continued to be paid by their families.

Although I am no fan of country music, it is  always sad to see someone talented commit suicide. Depression and troubles do run deep sometime.

I think people like this believe that their children will be better off without them.  Although there is always hope for people to get better, when you are feeling the way she was I am sure that there seems to be no hope.  I just hope they don't find out she had something to do with her boyfriend's death.  I don't follow country music or her really, but I read that his death was suspicious.

NO sympathy for her. ZERO!  Why did she have to kill her dog before she killed herself?

NO sympathy for her. ZERO!  Why did she have to kill her dog before she killed herself?

Because she could not bear leaving the dog to grieve.  Dogs bond to a person and even if someone else cares for them they will grieve for the one they love.

I am deeply saddened by the news of the suicide of country singer Mindy McCready. This shocking and tragic loss is so terrible. Suicide is no solution. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her children, in this difficult time.

Yes it is a terrible tragedy...so sad...she just couldn't pull herself out of that deep dark pit and see the light that God wanted to offer her...I pray he has mercy on her soul and she can R.I.P.
