Starbucks?
« on: February 18, 2013, 07:59:01 am »

How often do you drink it?

My sister keeps giving me her gift cards because she doesn't drink it, but...

I don't drink it often either..

We used to drink Starbucks every other day. Two years ago we picked up a cheap-deluxe espresso maker and were able to cut back to one cup on the weekends (from Starbucks).  This Christmas my wife rewarded us with an ultra deluxe-expensive coffe maker that grinds the beans and steams the milk at the same time it is making a three shot brew (capped with a perfect light tan coffee swirl) and now we only frequent Starbucks when we are two far away from our machine.  Five hundred dollars for the machine pays for itself in one hundred cups. Our break point on the expense falls in May with the cost of coffe beans and caramel for my wife! Good by Starbucks!

I don't drink Starbucks.   I don't like coffee so to me it is a very overpriced beverage.

On the other hand, my husband loves coffee and will get coffee from any convenience store when we are traveling....Starbucks, Caribou as well as the gas stations.

:)I love starbucks!! I have to go by them to get to some of my appointments so gift cards would be great some of these sites you can do surveys for starbucks gift cards. If they offer them free on the freebie site they are usually all out before I can claim a free one. :(

I'm not a coffee drinker at all. How can your sister receive gift cards if she doesn’t drink coffee herself? If you don’t drink it often, just give it away to somebody that does.  :)

this is just a tip for anyone who drinks regular coffee there often, and also make coffee at home:

Buy the bagged Starbucks brand coffee (whole beans or ground) at your grocery chain that are on the shelves in the aisle----but not at those starbucks stands built in them.  Each of those empty bags are worth a free cup of coffee if you take them to any Starbucks store.

I keep one of those empties in my purse in case i need a quick coffee fix.

Tell her to buy you McDonald's gift cards. A cup of coffee or any other drink is at least $4.00 at Starbucks. The same drinks (including large sizes) are only $1.00 at McDonald's.

I only have it as an occasional treat usually when I've managed to get a gift card. I do like some of their seasonal drinks but the fast food places are starting to do them as well for much cheaper

I like Starbucks, BUT I also like the McDonalds coffee, and it is a whole lotta cheaper.
