My wife and I met on a popular gaming site playing Cribbage.  At the time I ran one of those tournament leagues and a mutual friend of ours had her join and he introduced her to me.  We pretty much hit it off right away.  After four months, she flew out to where I lived and me met for the first time.  Was a little scary as it was only 9 days after 9/11.  We both flew back and forth visiting each other for about three years until we bought a house.  Moved in together in '05 and married in '08.  Like jkhanson said about her husband, she has been the best thing to have ever happened to me.

It's funny how almost every post on this topic they met online ) its like no one has a life anymore to go meet people you just sit behind the computer put up some pictures and boom you've meet your husband or wife its hilarious!!!

we went to high school together, I was a second-year senior and she was a freshman.  At the time we both liked each other but neither of us knew it, plus it would have been looked down on by pretty much everyone then!  We became pretty good friends (I used to push her into lockers when we would pass each other in the halls!) and then I graduated, moved off to college and saw her maybe twice over the next two years.  Two years later, came into her work and when she saw me she nearly knocked the building down running across the room to hug me!  We knew almost immediately that we loved each other, of course didn't tell each other though because we didn't know what the other would think about moving so quickly.  Two weeks later though we both admitted it, and only a couple days after that knew we were meant to be married

I met my husband ten years ago in a chat room. We met in person when we had a get together for members of the chat room in Des Moines. We lived about 45 miles apart all our lives, but were living over 200 miles apart when we met. I drove four hours about once or twice a month to get him and drive him back to my place. We spent tons of time together and eventually moved in together permanently and got married. We will be married 9 years on the 26th!

Well I guess I'll add to the tally of people meeting online haha...my fiancee and i met on a social network for the renaissance festival called renspace.org...we never intended to meet or anything, we were just networking with random people...then a few weeks later at the festival, amid literally THOUSANDS of people, she comes up behind me and goes "are you david?" It still baffles me how she could recognize me based on a little picture on a website amid a throng of people, but I guess it was fate! We lived 6 hours apart, saw each other about one weekend every month...a few months later, I moved here! We've been together over 2 years now
