I love carpet because its warm and comfy but with dogs I think wood is way cleaner. You can pick up spills very easily and just seems way better what do you guys think?
Yes definately wood is better if you have pets...we had our carpet cleaned last yr. because we couldn't afford wood floors but just so happened the company ruined out carpet and now we have wood floors...a blessing in disguise...God does work in mysterious ways!  :angel11:

love my bamboo flooring....looks pretty much like any traditional hardwood flooring, but nice to know that bamboo is a renewable product.

I have carpet in all my room except the kitchen, utility room, the master closet and the bathrooms.  I love carpet in the bedrooms, but would love to have wood floors in the living room and den.

I like wood floors in areas like the kitchen, hallway, etc. But in a living room I just prefer carpet, more comfortable.

carpet i think is better over all cause can always clean it. wood floors suck i have them and scratch to darn easy. plus wood is cold in winter and you can always upgrade your padding for carpet

Carpet is the bomb!!! I love the fel of soft carpet under my bare feet. However, hardwood floors have its place. Right now, it's in our kitchen.

I prefer the comfort of a quality carpet and pad...better for knees and heat costs.  However it is host for dust mites and is a definite no no for those with pets and allergens.  You know what I really like decoratively is when people have hard wood floors then insets of carpet in the middle of the room where there seating area is.  Comfort where you need it and style to boot.

I have carpet throughout my house, but I would prefer wood floors, they are easier to clean.  I am hoping to save enough money soon to change the carpet with the exception of the bedrooms to wood floor, I will keep carpet in the 3 bedrooms but everything else is going to be either wood floor or tiling.

Rugs are filthy and hold too much dirt inside them. I cannot stand them. I prefer hardwood floors. Cleaner, easy maintenance.

I know hardwood floors are the current decorating trend, but I love my carpet.  Our first house we owned as a couple had hardwood floors and I had to wax and buff to keep them looking nice.  They also scratched easily.  Probably there are scratch-resistant finishes that we did not have at that time, but I like the warmth and plush feel of carpet as well as looking over a sea of color in a room.  If that dates me, so be it.
