I put it in a change jar and once it's full I cash it in and spend it on whatever I want at the time.

I collect all my spare change in a big jar in my room, once it's full (usually once a year since it's so big), I bring it to the bank and have them deposit it to my savings. A nice little $50-100 bonus :DD

If I have change with me I take my son on small rides which will be in malls here and there.

I roll it up and save it and when I get enough, I go cash it and buy me something special.

Usually ends up on our dash in the van.. or in our water bottles you put on a cooler.. If and when we ever fill it, we figure it will be enough to pay ofr one us or hopefully both of us to go South.. But now that the penny is useless.. I dunno now.. :dontknow:

I give all of my spare change to my kids...They put in their piggy banks and give it to our church during Sunday school offering!

I've done many things with my spare change.  I too once had a change jar...it was one of those giant hinckley and schmidt glass jars.  I was cleaning and picked it up to get around to vacuum...the thing weighed so much the bottom shattered.  I decided it was time to take that change in.  Other times I've kept it in my pocketbook but that makes my purse to heavy.  So now I hardly ever carry change.  It seems I rely on plastic debit cards most of the time.  In the rare event I have a few coins in my pocket book I 1. Drop them in the change donation bowl at church. 2. Pay any library fines if any have incurred and 3.  Save one quarter for the cart at Aldi.

I put it in the coin tray in my truck and when it starts to pile up I use it for something I need or want.

I save all my change and deposit it in the bank once a month. Half of it goes to charity the other to bills etc.
Also If I am paying in cash for something I never use my change just bills. When possible if paying by check I round up to the closet dollar and get change back .  Most make I have 30 dollars or more in change! That's 360.00 a year! :peace:

I usually pay for things (when I pay cash) with and even amount such has if I buy merchandise and it comes to $36.05 well than I would pay fourty and the $0.95 and take it home and put it in piggy bank.  Right now I have a cool bank which is also a phone that you can use to call people it looks neat.  We save for a year to help with our anniversary dinner and it usually works with the gift cards I pick out with points I have with another program and that way we still get to celabrate our special day without worring where we are going to get the money.
