I've stopped the Insanity workout
« on: February 04, 2013, 06:15:32 pm »

Not that it was too rigorous or hard, but I got bored.

After a week I realized how much I dislike having to be in a room working out
for more than an hour. It's just too tiring.

Maybe I'll just get back into sports.

Commitment will start tomorrow!

Must have my mom take me grocery shopping.

Find something that you enjoy doing and you may just surprised yourself.

I don't blame you, I find working out boring too. Years ago I used to be really good about going to the gym, but after I sprained my ankle and couldn't go for a while, I never went back. Sports are definitely a more interesting way to work out.

From what I hear walking is an excellent alternative to working out.

If you have a dog, it can be great exercise for the both of you.

I need to start working out but I don't want to go all insane working out, so there's the Wii system and some games like Just Dance, The Michael Jackson Experience, etc. whenever I get the chance and play them with my kids or other family member I finish with sweat dripping off of me lol so there's a fun workout! I don't even think of it has exercising just having fun acting a fool with family :)!!!

The first round of Insanity DVDs are only ~40 minutes, though. I think it's a pretty tough workout, anyway.

I belonged to a gym, but gave it up I never went much.  I went out and bought a treadmill.  I put it in the family room and turn on the tv.  I start watching a show and before you know an hour has passed.   I know they can be expensive but it seemed like a waste of money going to the gym and I got my money's worth out of the treadmill!  :bootyshake:

I enjoy walking and getting some fresh air and vitamin D from the sunshine.  I'm finding; however, that I need a more intense cardio workout so I'm also searching for something that I would enjoy.

When I was younger I loved hanging out at the discos where I danced and exercise wasn't exercise....

It was FUN.
Have a great day!

I can barely stand going to the gym so I walk outside as much as possible.  Of course, in the upper Midwest, the gym is your only option...except for shoveling snow.

I know a lot of people who don't like working out indoors too often. Maybe you can mix it up with outdoor activities too or the gym.
