Is it appropriate for married women to have a girls night out? What do you think?

My wife has a few of these, I don't mind sometimes they just have to have alittle fun
after a tough week of work.

i think it's important to have girls nights out once in a while.   The only thing that would make it inappropriate is what you DO on that night.  Going to dinner and a chick flick with your girlfriends gets your husband off the hook for the movie you want to see, but going to see male strippers is something he probably wouldn't approve of.

Why not? It's no different than guys playing a round of golf, going fishing, or watching a game at a sports bar.

of course it is, as long as they arent going out with the intention of hooking up.  especially if they have kids, sometimes its needed just to keep your sanity lol

I don't see why not.  I don't think it needs to be a weekly thing though.  It is acceptable to a girls night out so at the same time it has to be acceptable for a guys night.

Why not?  I have "girl"s night out" several times a month and my husband has the same.  We love and trust each so what's the harm?  Neither one of us are cheating or even looking.  Sometimes you just want to be with your friends, doesn't mean you don't love or want to be with your spouse.

don't look at other men when you are out on your night out.

I think it is good for my wife to get out w/ her friends once in a while.  Sometimes the term "girls night out" seems to referr to something a bit on the wild side.  I don't think that is good for a married woman or a married man.  Trust is the center of a good marriage and once it is violated, it is really hard to restore.

Why not? ???   Just because your married doesnt mean you are a slave and give up all of your rights to have your own life too. You have to keep some sort of own self identity.

I don't see an issue if men are entitled to their own male social bonding options. I might be bugged if this is involving Chippendale-like environments, but what I don't know I guess shouldn't affect me too much.

NO! It's not wrong. Guys have them why not us. They might not call it guy night out, but they go out with their friends. I sometimes go out and have a girls night it fun. we gather is one of my cousins house or mine we do peticures, facials munch on goodies and even watch a movie. One thing we don't do is stay out all night, we do this and finish about 12 or 1 the most and off to our family.
