What do you think of the police?

I wouldn't want to live in a world without them but some seem to be a bit full of themselves.

I think that they are gonna be there regardless of what i think of them.

Some are good, some are bad just like everyone else.

I feel that crime would be a lot worse without them.  However, I do not think that there are enough of them.  It seems as if traffic control has gotten much worse.
I have seen drivers drive past a sign that says, road closed or lane closed and then I see them shortly afterwards turning around and heading back.  They realized that the road
was indeed closed.  Also, I have seen instances when an ambulance is blasting their siren, drivers run red lights right in front of them.  I have seen as many as 5 cars run a red light or run through an intersection where the ambulance drive had to stop.

Some of them think they are above the law. Most are good though. Got a few bad apples in every bunch I guess.

I can't stand most cops...only some are good. Most of them try to push their weight around just cuz they have a badge or just plain lazy!! But I guess they're a necessary evil. Just wish there were more good ones then bad.

I so agree with the opinion that the badge can really make them feel that whatever they say is the way it is going to be and that they come into a situation thinking from the call they received that they already have the story and will act on it as they heard from the call.

Some are good and some are bad...hmm because they are human.  I think they are like a lot of other things in that a lot of people just don't respect them until they need them.

Well, I don't personally know very many, but the ones who I have known are very good men and women. I honestly haven't seen them think that they are better than anyone else. But I know there are some out there that do, and I hope to avoid those types. Funny how peoples opinions change when they need one though.

I think it would probably be wise to leave this one alone but I will say I for the most part don't hold them in very high esteem.

I have quite a few friends that are Police officer, even some of my relatives are retired police. I have had some run ins with police that think they are all that!! I believe most are good at what they do! and are wholeheartly dedicated to the public at large. You do have those people that use their power in wrong ways but, that could be any profession. I was in the Military and I believe in the swearing in to "protect and defend" weather it be the constitution or to the public.

Me too I'll just say I don't trust them and be very unlikely to ask for their help

I think there are good cops and bad cops, just like any profession.  But you have to give them credit because if you need them they are there, call 911 - they will come.  Sadly we have had to call them a few times, and hope you guys are never in the situation to need their help.
