Credit Card Rewards

What types of rewards do you like best on your credit cards - cash back, airline miles, or points?  I like my cash back cards the best - I don't travel enough to use airline miles, and I'd rather have the cash than "stuff" that I can get with points.

Cash back is best.  One of my credit card banks gives instant credit each month, subtracting the rewards amount from my purchases.  I like that and also like getting a check back at the end of the year.  The rewards you have to use for purchases on their website...not so much.

I work for the airlines so I don't need miles.  I prefer cash back.

I travel quite a bit, so I like a card that gives miles. I'm from Denver, which is where Frontier is based out of, so that is the card I carry because I fly them a LOT.

I love the cash back! I never seem to get enough points to ever be able to redeem travel ones.

i get 5% back on my credit card which i can use towards my next gm car

I also prefer cash back. However, I have a supposed "cash back" card and when I went to redeem the cash, I was told that I had to use it towards the balance on the card! What a croc! That's more of a rewards for the company than for me! Shame on them!

Cash back is best.  I have one credit card that gives me a bonus for paying my bill on time.  It is stupid, I know, because you get charged a fee if it is late, but the extra little bit of cash back is enough of an incentive that I NEVER pay that one late.

Cash back is the best for me.  I dont travel a lot so points wouldn't be worth it to me.  Probably expire before I have a chance to use it. At least with cash I can use it on anything.

I didn't know there was any debate on this type of thing.  I thought everyone would prefer cash back.  I know I would.  I don't have one where I get cash back now, but I do get points and that is better than nothing.

I'm with you on not wanting "stuff"...although the whole cash back thing feels more like a discount towards paying your credit card bill and nothing more. At least that's how it is for me.

same here. I dont travel so those miles and discounts are lost on me. I prefer cashback, or points than can be converted to cash.

I have a chase card (freedom? i think), that gives 1% on everything and 5% on select purchases. The 5% category changes quarterly. It is great when it is on gas and grocery!
