Based on your comments, I tried my hand at tasks today.
My first one I did with my IE7 browser and was able to get credit for $.03.
Decided to try tasks again with Firefox because that browser allows me to move the new tab with the search engine to a new window. That makes it easier to view the instructions and the search window without click back and forth. Unfortunately, when I got to the point that I had to verify the code (last 4 digits of a phone number), the site would not/could not verify the code. Not sure if it was because the search window had been disconnected from FC when I set up the new window or it was something else.
Tried again with Firefox with another task and kept the search tab with the FC window. This time the site said the code was wrong (last name of managing director) but I clicked "verify" a second time without changing the entry and it came back that the code had been verified and I could submit. Clicked "submit" -- got a "submitting" sign, but after 5 minutes, it still hadn't come back with a completion.
Anyone else having problems using Firefox? Or is this standard operating procedures with the tasks (ie sometimes the connection works, but frequently it doesn't?)
Tried it again using IE7 and managed to complete 3 $.01 tasks (does get easier), but got several messages that the cloudfire site does not support IE7 -- I should upgrade to IE8 or use Chrome.
Which browser do you use to complete tasks? Any suggestions on how to make it work consistently?
Do you clear you cookies and temps after you complete each and every task? (I didn't and am wondering if that's why I had problems on the 2nd and later tasks.)
I also noticed that even though a task said it had 300-800 tasks available, if I clicked on the link again, it would not provide me with a new task. Am I correct in assuming that the count refers to the same task is available to 300-800 different people? Are you able to complete that same task again tomorrow? If you can only complete a given task once, why doesn't it disappear after it's been completed?
