INAUGURATION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA 2013
« on: January 21, 2013, 04:46:02 pm »
Hi,

I watched the INAUGURATION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA today. It was so exciting and surreal at the same time. He and his family are a beautiful and loving family WHICH IS A GOOD THING. I enjoyed the entire process and I feel he and Vice President Joe Biden will once again make a great team! I feel they did very well with what was left over from the Bush reign. In the end Bush, too, showed favorism towards the President. Good to see America pulling together to keep America GREAT!

Have you received a paycheck since we went over the fiscal cliff?? That has hurt alot of people...just the middle incomers I know $80 to $100 dollars less each pay and without the farmers receiving subsidies we could see milk prices as high as $7 ouch...sorry I'm not an Obama fan  :dontknow:

Yup, my paycheck also got cut. I work in a plant where people are on the system so they call in sick all the time so they dont make too much. I have to then fill in for them. Why dont I just hand them every other pay check and do without the paper work.

We don't have TV so I didnt watch it. I didnt want to watch it. I had better things to do. I'm politically outspoken though, so I'll just leave it at that.

Then you should write a letter to your congress for the mistreament. Farmers and other growers will not see anything of tax subsidy till Feb. 20 or later because Republicans decided so late on how to pass the fiscal cliff problem. Next time think about who you vote in office. The IRS need to implement those sitiations accordingly thanks to Republicans wanting to fight over everything and not look out for the good of the people.

I am kind of cynical when it comes to politics.  All it is to me is a competition on who is the most persuasive, instead of who is the most capable of solving the problems.

Lets just hope Obama can use this term to finally dig us out of the debt bush left him.   Yes the paycheck cut hurts a LOT, but that's a kickback to bush - not obama.  Remember that the country had a surplus when buch took office, and it took him less than two years to get us twice as in debt as his father left when he was president.  I don't actually care who he slept with - I think Obama should ask Clinton to come back and balance the books.

I watched the inauguration as well.  I am happy for the Obamas. They are a terrific family, which makes it all the more exciting.  Even the First Daughters were beautiful.   They have certainly grown up. :) ;D

It really was a beautiful ceremony celebrating democracy and many of the great things about America.  There are many things we do not like about our government and things that have happenned to us individually as the result of government action or inaction.  But I do not believe I would choose to live anywhere else.

I had to watch what I could after the fact.  Have to admit: it was a happy experience for me.

I watched the parade on t.v. that was about it.

I went over to the White house site yesterday to check out the petitions I found some of them very interesting and others really off the wall like one petition calling to impeach Obama because of the new gun laws. Everyone should go there and read some of those petitions and you can sign the ones you want. You can also create your own petition if it has the right amount of signatures they will look at it and take it into consideration, it might get approved or not.

This is something Obama started during his first term of office.

It is a disgusting waste of money. Just think of all the homeless people who could have been fed and sheltered with the money they wasted on pomp and circumstance. I didn't watch it, but I heard about it, and read about the awful waste of money.
By the way, you can't blame the republicans for letting the bush tax cuts expire. That was obama's idea. He lied when he said he wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class; between the extra costs from obamacare and the loss of the tax cuts, we are now getting less and less in our paychecks. How about Obama tightening his belt, instead of spending so much on parties and vacations? We are paying him to run the country, not spend millions on Hawaii vacations. Obama dug us into a deeper hole than bush could even imagine, and we are continuing to go deeper and deeper into debt because of his spending.
