I am not sure if I would go to Mars. I guess I might be willing to check it out if the atmosphere was reasonable and if there was already an establishment present.  But to be the first one there - no way, unless the earth was on the verge of exploding or being destroyed.

Moving to another planet, especially Mars, is like my ultimate dream! I don't know what it is, but I have read so much about that planet, and I have fallen in love with it. I know its desolate and bleak, but it would be so amazing to go there and colonize. If NASA knocked on my door right now, and told me I could go to Mars, I'd go in a heartbeat!

I'd consider it, depending on what was going on on Earth at the time, what technology existed to move from planet to planet, and how difficult colonizing the new planet would be.

I like science fiction and will watch a good sci-fi movie right now. Life on Mars is sci-fi big time. Let's stop dreaming
