No never lived in or even visited California sorry no help here.  I live in Florida and except for about 2 1/2 years spent in N.C. (mountains are beautiful) I have been in Florida my entire life.

I live in California in the central coast near Santa Barbara. where I live its one of the best weathers in all california. Not to cold or too hot, it's just right.

I heard Northern Cali is great for driving and relaxing by the ocean. I was in LA back in Sept and Dec. If you want to sight-see, go there. It's busy, but it's awesome. Venice Beach, Griffith Park (the hollywood sign), Hollywood Blvd., etc.

I lived in Southern California for 30 years///Living and loving Florida now. San Diego is pretty cool. Seaworld is there, and cool clubs and resteraunts there too. Of course there is Disney in Anaheim, but also Knotts Berry Farm, and the Wax Museum to name a few.

Yes all the places some of the Californians have named here. Also in Anaheim they have a medieval restaurant across from Knotts that is like dinner and show. Wax museum next door to that. In Long Beach they have the Aquarium. Los Angeles have many places to go along with free museums there also. The eatery places are very good and some of the clubs are nice on some nights you might run into a star. I guess I did name some for you. Good Luck.

I live in CA. You can visit many beaches, museums, amusement parks, CA missions etc. in southern CA. Along the way if you decide to drive up north you can visit Hearst Castle or the Big Sur. In San Jose you can visit the Winchester House, Up northern CA you can cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Drive up further north you can visit the CA Giant Redwood Trees… You can research online (http://www.visitcalifornia.com/) or visit your local library for books/DVDs like Fodor’s travel guide, Lonely Planet, Frommer’s travel books on the state of CA.
