Have you Ever Been Stalked???

Yes!!  Several years ago.  He put sugar in my gas tank, followed me frequently, threatened me in a store and poked me in the back with arrows he picked up in the sporting goods dept. of the store, frequent harrassing phone calls to my home and work, defacing property, throwing nails around the parking lot at work, all of it was over a stupid misunderstanding on his part.  I was a foster parent at the time and his son was placed in our care, and the therapist made some remarks in a monthly report that were negative about him and he thought I had made the statements.  In the end, he actually proved the therapists statements to be valid in regards to how unstable he was.  But the stalking was horrible...we ended up in court and that still didn't resolve it, he continued even though there was a restraining order placed on him...for a couple years, until his son was moved to another placement.

I've never been stalked. I was never that desirable. When I was younger I was obsessed with a girl in high school that I tried to socialize and be around with as much as I can, but I never did this beyond school hours (and later when she flat out rejected me).

No I was never stalked but wish I was by a beautiful girl. LOL. I think there are two sides to stalking. The innocent kind when someone likes someone and the dangerous kind when you become prey.

A decade ago I thought someone I don’t care to know was stalking me briefly until I came to realize it until a few years later. I was not harmed physically, however I became paranoid with fear.

I think sometimes the person being stalked should look at there own behavior in regards to the stalker.

yes my ex use to stalk me and act like it was a coincidence that we were in the same store at the same time. He would really creep me out.

I never was stalked in a bad way!! When I was in high school, this kid that drove me and my friends home would say that he would stalk our houses at night with his friends. It made us feel weird but nothing bad ever happened.

People think that stalkers are mentally ill. I do not care what their issues are, I will not allow myself to suffer like that because of someone else and their delusions. This is not a game. This is my life. I am sorry but I think  that law enforcement takes these situations too lightly and men and women have suffered and died because of it. This is an assault on a persons constitutional rights and these rights must be protected. It is well past the time that anti-stalking laws were introduced to protect people who are victimized by these people. They cost too much money to society and too many people have died at their hands. Dr Phil says, "When you choose the behavior you choose the consequences." Some consequences are deadly. I think if a person is a stalker they should be tracked by the police and arrested and jailed for at least three years. I would do my best to also respect their right to live, but I will not allow my life to be cluttered with a problem that belongs to someone else's family. I will protect myself. These people's families know how they are and they refuse to get these people into treatment that's not my problem. I and my family come first in my life and I will protect myself and my family first

No, and I still dont understand why somebody would do that. The thought itself creeps me out.

Yes, and it is not fun.  The restraining order seems to be a worthless piece of paper.  This person was stalking our entire immediate family.  The first time it happened that we know of she dropped baby gifts off for my daughter who was about to have a baby, I thought she was a friend so accepted them.    Later on we found out that this person was a nurse in the medical facility that my daughter and her children went to.   I think she did lose her job there and was  eventually deported back to the country she came from.

Yes, many years ago when I was in my 20's and single a bunch of us when out bar hopping.  I met this guy and we hung out for a few hours  We went out on a few dates but I wasn't "into him" so I stopped taking his phone calls.  He started showing up at my job, at my house, and kept calling.  He even brought me a few dozen roses (at different times)  It got so bad I always had one of the guys I worked with walk me to my car every day after work.  Nothing seemed to help but finally my two brothers (both older and much bigger then he was) stayed at my apartment until he showed up.  I never really asked, didn't want to know, what they said to him but thankfully that was the last time I saw him.

No I've never been stalked.  I'd never want be either. But I don't think I would have a problem with that cuz my hubby is a law enforcement officer...so I think that helps.
