I have been putting it in a jar, this year I have enough saved up for a poolside room to take my grandkids swimming.

I keep it in jar on my desk. When I get it full I cash it out.  Always fun to see how much I can get.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

We have a huge container for pennies and jars for quarters, dimes and nickles.  Sometimes we cash it all in ir other times we just let it go for a few years and see what we end up with.  You'd be surprised how quickly it all adds up.    :peace:

Hi,

Ditto! I save all of my change too in a big old plastic jug. It seems as if the jar will never get full so I found a good solution to guarantee it will fill up quickly. I go to a bank and get change from dollars and then put the change in the jars. Now my change jar is looking mighty good  :)  :). Now if I could just keep my daughter out of it, lol!

I put it in my kids piggy bank and when it gets filled up, we take it to the bank to get it counted and deposit it in their banks accounts.

Speaking of patience I'm almost tempted to "cash" out my coin jar.    :P

I do not really pay for anything in cash, but if I acquire any change, I save it up in a cup until it is full and then I deposit it into my bank.

I use my change. I keep it in my wallet and use it. I can't afford not to and I know it may sound silly. I know a lot of people save it up but I spend it

I try to keep some change on hand all the time because whenever I give tithes and offering it's never an even number ($5.00, $10.00 etc). It's always requiring change so I set aside my change for that pretty much. Anything leftover goes towards my expenses.

Try to pay with change for small purchases rather than break a bill.  Another family member saves all change and it really adds up but I normally use a debit card so really don't get that much change.  This year, however, may switch to a cash.  Read an interesting article this week that even though debit comes straight from checking account, psychologically it is the same as credit -- you tend do spend more than you would if using cash.

Throw it in a jar and occasionally take that to the bank.  It can sure add up!  I only save quarters and dimes.  That way, I usually have pennies for those odd purchase totals.
