Electric or manually preferred stimulation

Do you lay around the house bored because you have nothing to do so you lay in front of the tv insstead of reading a book to get those old brain juices flowing. Oh oh... wait a minute did you think I was talking about something else? oh. ok well if you have an answer for that I would like to hear it, because I'm interested in knowing what is preferred. I love it manually because I'm scared that to use something would make me become numb and dependant and well I don't want to have a hard time trying to get to the big bang if you know what I'm saying..
