My house got broken into several years ago. I was awake and in my room, but I was playing some video game on my computer with headphones on, so I didn't notice at all. Now that I think about it, it was probably for the best, because if I got up to the kitchen to get some snack or something to drink, I would have found them in the act and who knows what would have happened.

I had my house broken into once but I had a burglar alarm on.  They did not manage to take much as they were trying to find the alarm to shut it off.  I was most upset about the damage they did to my doors and locks which I had to pay to get fixed.

No, but my brother was hijacked two years ago. Thankful to God he wasn't harmed...With that said, everybody be safe.

Yes, I was robbed while walking on the street with which I used to live. I was almost home when it happened. The person held something up to my head (I believe it was a gun) and demanded my purse. They took my purse and ran up another street. Thank God I wasn't hurt and I have actually forgiven them.

Om yes. I was robbed at the place od business, thank heavens we had a strip that set off the silent alarm and the cops wer waiting outside for them. They had guns, so gave them allof the cash of course, then car was stolen and had my pistol in it. they were caught on security cameras, but before they were caught they managed to shoot out some other car windows. Then purse was stolen. But had my clutch purse in my hand at the time. They didn't get much. Then my apartment was cleaned out while i was at work. The last time was hen i was working late at night one time and walked out to my car, but i was careing  my stun gun. in my hand. I got him right in the crotch, went down instantly. Ran back into work and got security, he was arrested, wanted to do it again. But security guard wouldn't let me. although ithought the guy deserved it. Blood thirsty at the time or just very ticked off. Also had my truck broke into and tires slashed too. Man i am so glad i now live in a small community and the neighbors all look out for each other.

One time. Went to club  by myself. left my laptop in the back seat (forgot it was there). When I left the club, doors were unlock, trash everywhere, cd's were stolen. O ya, they go my laptop.

At least they didn't break my widows. It was in the hood, probably a crack head.

yes.very scary thing.my husband and i were separated at the time.He went fishing with some friends,so the girls and i stayed at his house overnight, they girls had some work or something to do.The one good thing that came out of that was i moved out the next day and back in with my husband.we were separated for 3 yrs.that has been over 20 yrs ago.we have been married for 35 yrs.

I had a car-jacker jump into my car, on the shady side of town, once.  He didn't realize that I was poor, had only the car to my name, and was quite crazy about having to work so hard.  He had a knife.  I floored the gas pedal, started uttering gibberish and eventually drove between a streetlight and store...the width of which was less then that of my car.  The steering wheel hit my face and knocked me unconcious. My passenger was flung at least fifteen yards through the windshield, per the police, and his blood led the police to his house four miles away. He was arrested, the insurance paid for my car and I have had sinus problems ever since from the impact to my face.

I empathize withe these stories. My parents' house was robbed shortly after my sister graduated from high school. We still had all of her gifts out on display, and the thief took all of the cash and and gift cards. He also robbed a house down the street and took all of the electronics and guns from them. Come to find out it was a very close family friend who got in deep with a drug dealer, after lying about stopping all of that stupid stuff.

Fortunately I have never been robbed.  However, when I was in college, I was nearly beaten up.  Unfortunately, a friend who I went to lunch with was not so lucky.  There were like 3 or 4 of them and three of them were like over 6 ft.  I was lucky only in listening to my intuition.  I told my friend to cross the street now.  He did not listen to me.  I escaped, but he didn't.  This happened in Boston right outside the college I was attending and right around 1:00 PM.
