"Paid Videos" Problem
« on: December 02, 2012, 05:44:25 pm »
Several offers in the "Paid Videos" section DO NOT offer a video to watch.
When clicked on, the video window opens and all I see is a long list of comments and other links to blogs etc...
I am guessing other people see the video since there are comments?
I see the majority of videos like I should. Probably in excess of 95%.
Currently Five Hour Energy and Chevy Blue do not play.
I believe it is always the SF Examiner videos that have this problem.

My browser is Google Chrome and I have ample bandwidth.

Well, for me they play, but they often don't credit.  Sometimes when the page first loads, I don't see a video, but if I reload it, the video appears.  I have found that some of those videos credit better if you use Internet Explorer.  I am a Firefox girl and hate Internet Explorer, but sometimes I break down and use it to get the videos to credit.

Problems with videos continue here. Today the videos would not even load. Hope FC communicates these problems to the video company. Sure would be nice if the videos came back good to go.

I use IE.  Have had problems getting credit on other browsers so use IE exclusively for FC

Today, I saw 5 hr energy without a problem and it credited.  You do have to scroll down to find the video arrow.

When I clicked on the Chevie video, I initially got an error message, but I refreshed and the video arrow came up; watched the video and got credit.

Try clearing your cookies and temp.  Don't know why that helps, but it usually does.  I use CCleaner to do this.

swogden, you are always very helpful and appreciated. Was using IE exclusively but it was making bad problems with internet. Started using Firefox with much fewer problems. When started using Firefox the videos were fine. Just in the past week or so the videos have gone sour on me. Have and use CCleaner.

Did you clear your cache and switch browser to see if it works?  Sometimes clearing cookies or history my help.
sometimes I think they have a limited view that they can't let you get any more.

What I do with the longer videos is watch about 30 seconds worth and I still get credit.

I haven't that issue with videos, I am using IE.

However, I do have a few videos that when I click on them it says "this video is no longer embedded" and when I click to watch on YouTube no credit is given. Anyone having this problem?
