I found one on Ebay for $21.50 that works fine once I plugged in a USB stick with BrowserLinux on it. They said it was being sold for parts only, because it didn't have a hard drive or CD/DVD included.

240 on sale at walmart. I just bought a new one it cost me 175 plus tax. I love it or you can go to a computer shop and get a rebuilt one for as little as 100 bucks.

Ebay is okay place to search for a reasonable one with knowledge of what you want, but quibids you will find yourself bidding on something then paying more for your product than you paid to join quibids even if sign up is free. Read up on them bid websites most are not what you would look for in a good deal. Amazon is good also. If you know something about a computer or laptop and you have a idea of what you need then shop around cause refurbished.com has good models for under 200.00 bucks.

I've seen lots of ads for Deal Dash on FB and I looked into it. You have to buy $36 worth of bids to activate your account but then you use those bids and they are refunded if you don't win the bid. Something you might want to look into.

You can always try a site called Listia and possibly get yourself a laptop there. I got some pretty cool things and I didn't have to pay any money to get what I won.

I had very good luck with an off-lease Dell I got on TigerDirect. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but the price was very inexpensive and it's worked great for me since 2009.

When we first moved to this place (about 5 months ago) we had 2 desktops that weren't equipped for wireless internet.  We went to Rent-a-center and rented one for $35 per week and shared it between my husband and myself until we were able to purchase a net gear adapter for at least one computer.  Eventually we were able to pick up a 2nd adapter for the other desktop.  Rent-a-center is good for short term rentals but if you're going for permanent I would even consider layaway at wal-mart.

I thought about using Quibids, but I heard you have to pay for you bids. I don't know how much. I never tried to find out. There is always a catch.

You seem to have answered you own question! Try to save of money from working or through your money you make on here and/or other sites.

Shop around and find the best deal you can possibly find on the laptop before you buy it.
