I like artificial. We cheat by picking up a few branches from the local Christmas tree farm to put underneath. The smell fills up the entire house.

I like the real one but don't like to kill more trees for the sake of x-mas. So, I go for the realistic fake ones & spray pine scent on it. ;)

I guess I'm kinda like old Scrooge... no tree for the last few years.  Although, when I did put one up, it was artificial...

I love live trees, the smell throughout the house just put you in the Christmas mood and spirit.  I do have an artificial tree that I use occasionally.

I could generate pros and cons for each, but i think to be truly traditional it would have to be a real tree. I dont put up either, I just get out a small ceramic tree.

Real treesare nice. My grandma sometimes got a real tree. I have a fake tree and it always works great for me.

My family used real trees in the past and sometimes they do give a pleasant smell and the tree picking was fun. However, certain allergies of certain family members and guest we bring over has made us start using an artificial tree. I have no qualms and they're cheaper in the long run.

I love the smell of a real tree...I like fake because they are cleaner and I do believe safer...but I don't put up a tree for myself.

Having either a real or artificial tree is okay with me.

I haven't had a real tree in quite a few years but we have an artificial one and it serves the purpose to decorate and put presents under- one year we had one the sat on top of the coffee table about 3-4 feet high and it was just as good

We started using real trees a few years back. My wife will not go back to an artificial tree.

We have an artificial tree. I love the smell of the pine, but I hate to step on those needles!
