Windows 8
« on: November 17, 2012, 06:37:51 pm »
I have been using the new software both on my desktop and laptop computer since last week. On a scale from 1 to 10, it is 8. On the positive side, Windows 8 runs much faster than other Windows brand software. On the downside, it is difficult for me to find my programs that are installed if I ever decide to uninstall or not. Also I have to navigate Windows 8 myself without reading the directions.

Please feel free to post your thoughts or reviews for Windows 8.

How much of an improvement is 8 to 7?  I just bought a new laptop and am thinking about upgrading.

I haven't tried using Windows 8 yet. Not sure if I want to upgrade just yet!  :)

I'm holding back and waiting for the fallout.  It's typically been a pattern that every other Windows operating system is the "good" one.  2000 was Stable, ME was horrible, XP was stable, Vista had many issues, Windows 7 was stable...now 8....

I'll wait until 8 comes out with it's 6-month service pack and see what the feedback is on whether I'll upgrade or wait for whatever comes next.  Even though I'm a techie, when it comes to OS, I prefer others to do the beta testing for me.   ;D

I'm gonna wait to see how many bugs it has before I try it. I didn't upgrade to 7 because I was already hearing about 8 and 7 hadn't even been released. Hey they are already thinking of a new one I am sure.

I am trying to understand why it is so cheap, what does that mean...maybe it has kinks in it, if they get it worked out I may go ahead and try it
