Well, apparently the guy that accused him came out and said it was a lie, that he WAS of age, and that the relationship was "consensual."  Of course, that's AFTER he caused a ruckus and maimed the character of the voice of "Elmo."

I agree with one of the members of FC, is the whole world going crazy, REALLY, Elmo of Sesame Street involved in a gay sex scandal with a minor of age 16 or then 16, either way, it is just so wrong, wrong and wrong!  Elmo is a role model to so many children, even adults and I am one of them.

The way you say it makes it sound like Elmo engaged in sex...but anyway I get what you're saying. It's just too bad that the guy who did the accusing caused so much trouble before he came clean.

Despite the retracted statement this is still most likely going to hurt the voice of Elmo with a number of people and leave him and Elmo open for ridicule and dirty jokes (of course some already done even before the incident).
