This is a great tip and cheap too. I will have to give it a try to see if it really works. Thanks.

I did lots of research on getting rid of sugar ants for my mom.  Lots of people said peppermint oil also works well.  I haven't tried it yet, but it is said it works if vinegar doesn't.

That sounds like a good idea.  It would not cost as much as ant killer products do and it would be safer.

All these are interesting and worth a try.  The last house I lived in was crazy - always had ants no matter what we did or didn't do but since I lived there I read that you can wipe down the counters and sills with dryer sheets and that does it - but I don't know never tried it.    :dontknow:

I seen this book about home remedy tips. There was tip like this but they mixed white vinegar and coconut oil together to keep ants, spiders and such away. Another tip was to put a dryer sheet (bounce etc..) in your pocket or elsewhere to keep away mosquitoes.  Tip  about to keep flies away "to put above your front and back door  or patio door a mirror like decoration."

That must be the kind I have.  They went after the hummingbird feeder and "dairy farmed" aphids.  They ran around like they were on speed.  I heard about using black pepper, but they just moved it out of the way.  I'll have to try your ideas next year.

White vinegar is also good for cleaning since it's a natural anti-bacterial that won't screw with your immune system and isn't toxic.  :peace:
