How do you feel about Obama winning?

Obama told thousands of supporters in Chicago who cheered his every word that "we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back" and that for America, the best is yet to come.
 
He vowed to listen to both sides of the political divide in the weeks ahead and said he would return to the White House more determined than ever to confront America's challenges.
 
"Whether I earned your vote or not, I have listened to you, I have learned from you. And you have made me a better president," Obama said.
 
The nationwide popular vote remained extremely close with Obama taking about 50 percent to 49 percent for Romney after a campaign in which the candidates and their party allies spent a combined $2 billion.

I am elated that Obama has won a second term.  I do believe he is the best person to restore the middle class and work to create an America where EVERYONE has an equal chance to achieve the American dream,  Now that the Republican opposition sees that they cannot get rid of him even with the millions of dollars their supporters spent trying to do so, they cannot obstruct and prevent him from being elected to a second term,  and he will not be a  "One Term President", they may now start working with him to fix the mess they contributed to making of this country and accept his offer of bipartisanship.  They now have nothing to gain by not doing so. If they are being honest when they say they are concerned about the America they will leave for their children then the gridlock will have to dissipate.

I'm glad Obama won and I'm sure the republicans will still try to make the president look bad and the democrats look bad and most important we the people will lose when this  Gov. work together wont happen. What that will do for me since I am a Bi-Partisan and of no political party, I will not vote for republicans still and any democrat who refuse to work across the table. I will be doing my research from this day on so I know what is still going on. Regardless of the party or of the label we are all Americans. There is still a long way to go!

I would think that if anything, the obviously startling blow republicans received from the outcome of this election tonight, would finally convince them that the american people are not as stupid as they think and do not buy into their bulls___t.

One can always hope, (which differs from 'faith' in significant ways), however, it pays not to underestimate human stupidity or, it made lead to unpleasant surprises.  Though it's theorectically possible to over-estimate human stupidity, I'm not sure that's ever happened.  That said, I haven't looked at the new party ratios in the house and senate very deeply yet and am not sure how that situation will play out.

I voted for Obama the first time and I voted for him, again.  I'm very pleased because the past 4 years has been wonderful (for me) and I'm confident that the next 4 years will be even better.

We should all do our research before voting to send politicians to Washington who put their own agendas or those of special interest groups, above the people's.  People like John Boehner and Mitch McConnel and all those like them who promote gridlock situations rendering Congress useless, should be sent packing.  Both Boehner and McConnel have already let it be known that they and the opposition (tea party) are just as ready to fight for their mandate as the president is to fight for his.  Well they both need to be reminded that the majority of americans  have voted that they want the presidents mandate for america. We should not tolerate these people who refuse to work with the president for what the people want, any longer.  They can be replaced with people who will, because they all work for us!

I'm not a registered voter but, I was hoping for Obama to get reelected and it looks like he did. It also doesn't matter who won anyways because they will both face the same problems and challenges. Now, I just hope Obama can do something positive for america and make it better.
