I do sell on ebay. I have sold about 23 items and while I haven't made much money, the experience of selling was fun.

I enjoy selling on ebay and if I could I would sell on ebay and amazon full time. I think it's an interesting way to make money and I enjoyed the experienced. I just wish I had more great stuff to sell.

Did you ever think about buying something to specifically sell on eBay? This is where being thrifty can actually make you money instead of just saving it. I agree, though, that selling stuff on eBay is a lot of fun.

I have been selling on ebay since 98 or 99. My goal is to do this full time, but I have a ways to go. I have cut down to 4 days a week at my regular job and hope to go to 3 days next year. I sell mainly clothing and craft items that I buy locally and occaisionally over the internet and resell.

I would recommend Turbo Lister for creating your ads. You down load it to your computer from ebay (its free) and you can save all your ads there. Makes relisting and selling similar items very easy. Also is simple to load a picture or several on there.

Good luck!

I have sold many things on Ebay.  I am an experienced seamstress and have made substantial money selling items that I make.  Also I have sold antique items found at thrift stores.  You have to know what to look for, but there are a lot of treasures to be found there that many collectors all over the world are looking for.  It is a lot of work but enjoyable.  The shipping part is the only part I don't enjoy much.

I use a combination of e-bay, craigslist and amazon. You have to check which on works for things. It has been a nice way to downsize and get rid of all the old stuff we have collected.

I have in the past, but not in a very long time.  It wasn't really worth my time.

Why wasn't it worth your time? Where you selling the wrong items? eBay isn't like a garage sale where you can just sale any old random junk. Where you slow at listing, did you attempt to improve your speed using listing tools? How many items did you actually try selling until you gave up? It may have been worth your time because when you are starting out you are actually learning. People spend tens of thousands of dollars and work full time to learn what you can learn by spending that same amount of time selling on eBay. Everything you learn, though, gets thrown out the windows when you quit.

My daughter has sold lots of things on EBay, and has been successful doing so. I have purchased from EBay also but I have never personally sold anything on there.

I have sold lots of things and bought lots of things on Ebay. The biggest problem I had was with shipping charges both buying and selling.  They can be outrageous and eat up most of your profit when selling. International shipping charges can really get high.
