How would you handle this situation?
« on: November 05, 2012, 12:17:02 am »
There's a sweet little cat that's been hanging out at the apartment complex where I live.  She's not mine but sometimes she'll "meow" by my front door.

Earlier today one of my neighbors came outside and shot her with a paint ball gun.  I confronted him and he admitted that he did that.  I was upset knowing that someone might intentionally hurt an animal.

This isn't the first time because I've found those broken paint *bleep* on the front porch in the past.

Should I report this as animal abuse?
Have a great day!

Yes.  Consider calling the police and pressing charges as well.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

I would keep out of it if he can do that to an animal I don't want to get on his bad side people like that can be crazy...... As for the cat maybe find it a home.

Yes, I would report it.  An animal cannot help themselves in a situation like this, they need your help.  If your neighbor will do that to a poor animal, how do you know what he will do to people when he tires of hurting animals?

I would report him to the police, the SPCA and anybody else who will listen. Make him suffer like that cat has suffered. :angry7:

I would, because first of all it is animal abruse. He shouldn't be shooting anything on your porch. Call the Police!

Probably to late to report it.  I'm normally against gossip, but I suppose telling people where you live about it might discourage him from being an idiot in the future.

I'm undecided on this one. He could be reported but the repercussions might not be worth it. Find a home for the kitty ASAP and maybe mention what happened somewhere like craigslist.

Also, be sure to report him to the apartment complex manager. Surely they will do something about it!!!

I would call the humane society or your local law enforcement.  We have a small community police station in our neighborhood that takes care of things like that.
