It is always exciting to have a discussion on a forum (other than questions like: "do you prefer red or blue?").
(I will try to iron out my quoting issues as time goes on)
Here is the first post I ever made:

Hi all,
New Member here.
I watched ol'buddy and his vids. And decided to take the plunge!
I just got a loaf of French Bread started and its on its first rise cycle. I decided to come and make some bread here too.
What kind of things do you do to break up the "work" of doing surveys and offers etc. ?
Hello, new person and welcome to FC. Doubtless you'll manage to find what works best for you as time goes on however, here's some ideas to get you started:
There are several daily offers, e-mail, surveys, human tasks, videos and weekly contests/promotions which generate anywhere from $0.27 to another $6.75-$8.00 potentially. Even doing just the "dailies", (no surveys or paid offers), one can generate $8.33/month or, enough to cash out in three months.
That reply was from Falcon9
I thought he was quite helpful. And it was nice to get a quick response. Gauging by his post count, i am assuming he is a mod. In any case i was glad to get the welcome, remembered the name and was happy to get other replies too.
I have seen some of falcon's other replies to posts about religion and other things. whatever. I was raised to despise religion. When i was a kid in the 80's i would call the 800 numbers for the televangelists (james baker, robert tilden oral roberts etc.) and get all their free prayer cloths, posters, pleas for money calendars until assured destruction etc. My room was covered in them. We all had a good laugh (I thought I was doing a good thing by wasting their money). A few years later they started to make the news and we know the story about that.
As I have grown older (I'm 42 now) I have learned to accept that people believe what they believe. There are plenty of schisters and assholes who are religious and plenty who aren't.
My mother, who raised me, got cancer 15 years ago or something. She turned to the religion she was raised in. She was certain it helped. But, she turned her back on it immediately that it wasn't convenient.
Now, being the scumbag that she is, she is spouting the liberal talking points that radical Islam, isn't. She's an idiot. That doesn't mean that all baby boomers are etc.
When I had a severe car accident and suffered from some head trauma, I never turned to religion and I told the nurses and doctors to *bleep* off. I set my own nose, shoulder blade and repositioned the orbit in my eye. It worked out mostly. But, prior to seeing the nurses and doctors and hospital....I spent some time in a swamp trying not to bleed out. During that 8 hour ordeal I saw the lights in the sky and tunnel and figures and ghost like thises and thats. Saw what i thought could be perceived as the entrance to hell, saw my body laying in a swamp (from above), pinned against a log, trying to stop the bleeding from my nose, eyes and ears....Later on, I talked to my spiritual brother about it. Maybe I was wrong about all this religious stuff? I don't know. His best response was..."well I have a good relationship with Jesus."
That sealed it for me.
I have a friend who is an engineer. I was stunned that he believed in creationism. I still respect his views on everything else and know him to be an intelligent fellow. We never fought about it.
I think it was Benjamin Frankllin who said; "never argue with an idiot. People might mistake you as one". The point is that you can
tell someone what to think. Everyone makes their choice at some point.

Are you as kind as zcote to accept that tuscarorarain will draw strength from whatever ...
You're assuming that "from whatever" vaguely included hypothetical supernatural egregores and, since it was vague, maybe "zcote" will clarify that point, (or not). Either way, that's not the part which I remarked was well-said.
So, in reply to Falcon9's question about my intentions when i replied....I have been saved from wasting money on toilet paper and other household products by shopping at costco.
I am also looking forward to finding value in the coupons from Fc to see how much will be saved on my next trip to a normal grocery store.
That was supposed to be word play and funny. I hope it made some of you crack a smile.
I am glad that you are doing better and hope that you continue to find success in your endeavors.
There aren't many people that I wish otherwise.
Being lucky is just preparation met with opportunity.
Don't know where I heard that. Its been a personal psalm for years
Making good choices provides the opportunity for success. Once you are successful, people will often say that you were lucky to have been in the right place at the right time.
Remember that it is always the right time, because, you are there.
Paraphrased from Zig Ziggler and 1 of his books about selling.
Have faith in yourself and draw strength, from whatever you need, to carry on in a positive way.
Nothing wrong with that.
Atheists didn't crash the planes into the twin towers and they didn't kill our soldiers at Fort Hood or our men in Benghazi. So, they can't be all that bad.
I don't know Falcon9's motivations (that some others have berated him/her for). His/her posts can be helpful and interesting. I am in the assumption that he/she is more along the lines of a skeptical inquirer rather than a preaching atheist. I don't know.
I'm glad that falcon9 ticked so many of you off. So much of this stuff is so boring.
Its a forum. Its the internet. Have fun.
And I hope that it made sense before we all got off topic on this off topic post.
Final thought:
Kurt Vonnegut put forth 8 basics of what he calls Creative Writing 101 This was #7:
Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia.George Orwell had 6, this was his 2nd:
Never use a long word where a short one will do.
