Salvation Testimonies
« on: November 04, 2012, 03:13:14 pm »
I went through a hard time with my first daughter's biological dad so I decided to move to Colorado. It was there I started attending Fountain Independant Baptist Church and got saved. I needed to realise everything Dewayne had done to me was nothing compared to me constantly rejecting the eternal salvation of Lord Jesus Christ. I saw this movie called, "Fire Proof," which really opened my eyes. I then started approaching the Bible sceintifically and came across the story of someone who had to stick their hand in Jesus' side to beleive. It was like me at that time. I saw this youtube video as well about Brian Welch who is the former guitarist for the band, "Korn," which is a band I often used to listen too. The video talked about how he got saved and how he gave up so much and how God bless him in return. You can find it on youtube by typing, "Brian Weltch I Am Second." All of this showed me that JEsus Christ is indeed the Son of God. He went to the cross for me and died in place of all our sins. I just had to accept that with faith. I did and so much in my life changed. I forgave Dewayne, meet someone in my church, and got married. We now have another daughter named Alicia. I used to be that gothic girl who studied witchcraft and I am proud to say I got ride of all that stuff when I got saved. I grew up in a Christian household, but I did not follow it. At one point I was religious, but not saved. When I did finally get saved I was learning how to be truly happy. My work stopped being for me and started being to others. I want to give you all the chance to talk about how you got saved.
Lord Jesus Christ is the only way for eternal salvation from sins. Jesus loves you.

This is direct religious proselytizing which I choose to oppose with rational thought and reason.

I used to be that gothic girl who studied witchcraft and I am proud to say I got ride of all that stuff when I got saved.

Such a pretentious and self-righteous attribution to blind religious faith is a "testimony" to irrationality.

Maybe your obsession compulsive disorder is wearing you down....you must have been confused.

Yes, since that indicates trusting in your own abilities instead of putting blind religious faith into some hypothetical supernatural egregore.

Are you as kind as zcote to accept that tuscarorarain will draw strength from whatever ...

You're assuming that "from whatever" vaguely included hypothetical supernatural egregores and, since it was vague, maybe "zcote" will clarify that point, (or not).  Either way, that's not the part which I remarked was well-said.

Maybe your obsession compulsive disorder is wearing you down....you must have been confused.

I don't have OCD and you're not qualified to make an 'internet diagnosis' on the basis of your extreme religious bias.  On the other hand, if we're making such layman 'diagnosis', your demonstrated cognitive dissonance may be confusing you.

You quoted zcote fully in what they said when you replied. You always make excuses for everything with your hate filled bias prejudices. You have stated over and over that faith its illogical. Even in your replies to quotes that mention nothing about God but only about faith you claim that faith is illogical. You have obviously been confused this time. The proof is in the archive.
zcote also stated that they are "glad that you are doing better and hope that you continue to find success in your endeavors." to tuscarorarain. I agree this is well said!

Change it all you want it is all archived. You stated that you have faith in yourself....does that make you faith-impaired? Does that make you illogical? What size is that foot in your mouth?? LOL

You stated that you have faith in yourself....does that make you faith-impaired?

I stated no such thing, (trust or, confidence in own's own abilities and inner strength is definitely Not equivalent to blind religious faith). That makes your false assertion an outright lie.

Does that make you illogical?

No, your false asumptions provide some evidence of your cognitive deficiencies.

I have seen you reply to a quote about faith that had no reference to religious faith. You must have cognitive deficiencies. You obviously are familiar with such. And have even proven it when you fully quoted zcote as it proves in the archives.

No, what I posted was 'I stated no such thing, (trust or, confidence in own's own abilities and inner strength is definitely Not equivalent to blind religious faith). That makes your false assertion an outright lie.'

You must have cognitive deficiencies.

Since your assertion was contradicted by actual evidence, (as opposed to your insistant lie), any cognitive deficiencies in this regard are entirely yours.

misconstruing things like you usually do does not make a fact fiction. calling something a lie does not make it so...here is my evidence.

Thank you for sharing your testimony.  You've been through a lot and I'm glad you are at a point in life that you know exactly who you are and I really hope things continue to be well for you and your family.  I didn't realize the former guitarist for Korn had gotten saved - that's really neat to know!  Congratulations on your decision for the Lord, for your new marriage and for both of your daughters.  I'm happy for you.  :)
