I haven't seen the Hunger Games movie, but I enjoyed the books.  I have read all of Stephen King's books, but the movies are always too terrible compared to the books. lol

My favorite book to TV Show was Little House on the Prairie (that was mentioned above).  Although the TV Show took a lot of liberty with the book series.  I heard CW's The Vampire Diaries is also based on a book series.

I recall the North and South book trilogy was turned into TV Mini-Series.  I thought the first 2 were the best interpretations.  Don't know what happened to the 3rd installment - book was great, but the mini-series was horrible.

I have read the Vampire Dairy books and also a few of Stephen King's books that have become TV shows.  I have read lots of books that have become movies.

Vampire Diaries, The Southern Vampire Mysteries, and a Game of Thrones come to mind when thinking of books that became TV shows.

It depends on which I see or read first.  If I read the book first - then I don't usually like any changes they make in the movie.  And visa-versa ;D

Most of these listed are movies not TV shows.   Little house on the prairy was a TV show based on a book series, and Walking Dead is a TV show based on a graphic novel.

I am sorry I should have worded my topic BOOKS THAT BECAME TV SHOWS AND MOVIES thanks for pointing that out!!!

I love the Game of Thrones books and HBO has done a great job in making the series.

I enjoyed watching Legend of the Seeker, but it didn't very closely follow the book.  I just tried to separate the two and enjoy it for what it was.
