Just a heads up to please notice that title's of some threads are being changed within the threads themselves.

The original thread titles remain unless a respondant quotes replies where comments are inserted into thread titles.  Thread titles are part of a post and are not 'sacrosanct'.

I don't know if this is allowed or not, but it seems to me that whatever thread anyone else replies in, that no one but the original poster of that thread should be allowed to change their title - even within responses within the threads.  In certain cases, mainly religious threads, they are being changed to the opposite of what the original poster intended, to the twisted context of what someone is trying to use to their advantage. I wouldn't like my topic title changed, and really don't think others would either, which is only being done facetiously.  Thank you very much.

They're thread titles, not something that permits nonsense in a title to go unopposed.  Your 'complaint' is yet another facetious and frivolous attempt to censor/restrict/contrain/suppress opposing viewpoints.  It's a good thing FC isn't a xtian fundamentalist site.
You changing the thread titles when you quote someone is just one more attempt at misconstruing what is being said in order to enforce your own self righteous biased and prejudiced opinions.

Exactly the point I was venting to Kohler.  I never even realized you could change the title within the threads until one day, I saw a title changed in a response, and it was switched around to the opposite of course.  I would never think of changing an original poster's title to their thread they started.  When I've responded, whether I like the title or not, it's still responding in a thread someone else started, so I take the title, like it or not.  At least, through this, I now know I can go back in and re-change it back to the original poster's title.

It would seem that a person that feels so justified and adamant in their opinions would just honestly post what they feel so passionate about rather than misconstruing it first.

I was quite aware of all the postings in this thread when I posted.

Apparently not:

The forum permits you to indicate a different subject when replying to a topic.
This does not change the TOPIC TITLE, it is only the title for that particular reply.
Most people don't bother changing it, but it's one way to indicate that you are going off-topic or changing topics.

This is a quite standard forum feature and not likely to change.  Sorry!

Doesn't change the fact that you misconstrue things.

Nothing was misconstrued except by some xtians posting in this thread.  That's when Kohler clarified the situation.

I'm not trying to censure anyone.

Numerous archived posts to the contrary, (in your own words), are evidence contradicting your assertion otherwise.

You are one who is consta

You submitted a frivolous 'complaint' in order to induce FC staff to impose censorship based on your own misconceptions, that didn't work and now you're being petulant about it, (after claiming that you were "dropping it").

I removed my "dropping it" post once I started responding to the other posters.  Stop minding my business.  I had a legitimate question and was answered honestly.  I respect Kohler and have no problem with his decision.  You, however, seem to be enjoying your gloating over this - have at it - you are only enjoying the attention you are asking for.  So quit whining and enjoy it while it's given.

I removed my "dropping it" post ...

It's still archived as:

Quote from: jcribb16 on Today at 18:15:48 -

"Just stop it and let it go.  I am."

Whether you changed your mind or not, you're participating in the continuation of this thread, even after an answer was received.

... once I started responding to the other posters.  I respect Kohler and have no problem with his decision.

Yet, you're 'enabling' other xtians who are responding with their 'support' for your failed attempt at censorship by continuing this thread.

It's not about censorship. It's about you misconstruing the original quote title.

No, that's your skewed misinterpretation, stemming from an inherently biased religious point of view.

In certain cases, mainly religious threads, they are being changed to the opposite of what the original poster intended, to the twisted context of what someone is trying to use to their advantage.

Some thread titles were changed to reflect contextual subject-drift.  This is permitted.

So it's permitted...you still misconstrue what the original title is. Just own it. You do it. It is what it is. Misconstrued.

My religious views have nothing to do with the FACT that you misconstrue replies posted within a thread.

My religious views have nothing to do with the FACT

Your skewed religious opinion does not constitute "fact".  Neither does you continued inability to separate such faith-based opinion from the 'fact' that thread titles were not being misconstrued and were instead, changed to reflect the context of replies.

Nothing you say changes the fact that you misconstrue things. It has nothing to do with religion. It is not faith-based...it is a fact that you misconstrue things.
