As more and more private companies begin to realize the untapped potential of expanding civilian enterprise into space, the costs will come down, (partly through sheer competition and partly through cost-reducing innovations).  Hypersonic aero-spacecraft are a steeping stone to orbit.  From there, the sky is no longer the limit.  I'm in.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

There are some folks that have that amount of money to do this and more power to them, I do not and if I did, I wouldn't use it for that!

As for me, it's a good thing I have no interest in going. I could put that much money to far better uses if I had it.
