I pray God gives some ...

Why are you religious adherents starting multiple threads on the same subject, encouraging the same sort of superstitious magical intercessory rituals?  Repetition of such specious religious nonsense doesn't confer functionality on 'prayers' as there is no evidence that such wishful-thinking has any affect whatsoever on storms, (or, anything else). Since such could easily be posted in one or two off-topic threads, the only logical conclusion is that religious adherents are spamming forums with the same topic again, (religious propagandizing).

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Prayers go out to all those suffering through such a tragedy. I have a close friend out the name christian and im praying for you bro keep your head up and stay strong. I believe in the power of prayer and faith and everything is possible with God we just have to believe it, take a step back, and allow God to take care of things.

Magical intercessory rituals, ("prayers"), don't provide power, food, water, medical attention or shelter from the storm.  People do.  Ingrates falsely attribute human assistance to a supernatural 'cause'.

Prayer didn't provide the manna in the wilderness? Hmmm....
Anyway, yes, my prayers do go out to those affected by the horrifying effects of Sandy.  He has said where two or more are gathered in My name there shall I be also.  Keep your eyes on Him and He will provide.

That's an unfounded religious claim which has no valid supporting evidence, ("biblical" references do not constitute valid evidence since those are hearsay, not evidence).

Anyway, yes, my prayers do go out to those affected by the horrifying effects of Sandy.

Such 'magical intercessory rituals' have no validly-attributable evidence of providing shelter, medical attention, food or water to those affected by storms, (or anything else).

I am praying for them. Thanks for the reminder.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

My prayers go out to those affected by the storm as well.  Prayer can't hurt.  Nor does believing or multiple posts regardless of where one may so choose to post.  We all have the choice to read posts or ignore and move past them.  I'm opting for posting wherever my heart leads.  Not everyone is going to be on the same page especially with politics and religion.  GOD BLESS!

Speaking as a person who has family up in New Jersey and in Penn. my prayers do go out to them but also the hope that everyone is okay. Not only my family but all affected. My Aunt talked to my mom before land fall and she told my mom The only one my mom can remember even coming close to this magnitude took place in the 50's. So stay safe and if you have no power stay warm :angel12:

Praying isn't going to help these people.   They need donations.  The red cross is a great place to start.  They need donations, monetarily and blood.

I am and have been praying for those in harms way, for the residents, rescue workers, national guards called out.....everyone of them.  They are all going to need our prayers for some time to come.

This is how I feel and believe, if you don't like it, you don't have to read it.  I know I have quit reading the rants of some of the non-believers on here.  Life is just to short to listen or read them, I would rather focus on other positive things.

Others have expressed how "prayer" isn't what storm victims need.  They need more pragmatic and practical help than superstitious non-help.  If you don't like it, don't read it and use that 'ostrich button'.
