There are way too many great old country artists to put them all on one ablum.  I mean you got Ricky Skaggs, Billy Dean, John Anderson, John Denver, Mark Chestnut, Paul OVersteet, the Judds, Patty Loveless, Doug Stone etc.

I prefer Tanya Tucker to LeAnn Rimes as far as preteen to adult singers go.  Tanya remained country throughout her career while LeAnn tried several different things including trying to distance herself from Country only to find out that her largest fan base was country and she had to come back to it.  Tanya remained loyal to Country Music and just had that voice you knew was hers from the very first note.

Bubba shot the jutebox always made me laugh, especailly the part that goes, “A reckless discharge of a gun, that’s what the officer’s claimin’.  Bubba hollered as loud as hell, ‘I hit just where I was aimin’.”

There are really great artists that no matter when you listen to them, they are as great now as they were when they came out like the Beatle, Elvis etc.  Then there are individual songs rather than the artist that stay forever like Bridge over troubled water, Lean on me etc.

A true artist that can span decades and be as popular now as they were when they first began like Madonna, Elvis, Conway Twitty are extremely rare.

R.I.P. to Whitney, she will always be my second favorite singer right behind Martina McBride.

I always knew Martina McBride was short but I couldn’t believe when I saw an episode of Reba where Dolly Parton guest stared.  I had no idea Dolly was that short even with high heels.

I don’t know why but I always liked sad songs like All the lonely people by the Beatles, I am an Island by Simon and Garfunkel, Paint me a Birmingham by Tracy Lawrence, You’ll think of me by Keith Urban.

I have every album Pink has ever done because I have always admired the fact that she is strong and fearless which comes through in her music.

I think Nicki Minaj is one of those artists you either love or hate.  I actually love her because she raps and sings.  Usually a singer sacrifices one for the other and because she can do both, and does both that’s what makes her different and why she is so popular.  I mean that’s why I like her so much.
I'm all about Rob Thomas Matchbox 20 & the Goo Goo Dolls...yes I'm super excited going to see them...YES!!

When I do buy music, it's rarely ever in CD form... I almost always buy digital- it can't be scratched, and if you "misplace" the file, 9 times out of 10 you can re-download the music you purchased at no extra cost.

I guess I'm in the opposite camp... When I buy music, it's usually in CD form. I can rip the CD into MP3 files and play those on my computer. And if the file gets lost or corrupted, I can just re-rip the CD again. Also, it's easier to prove you have a license to a particular song if you can produce the CD the song came off of. Usually when I download music, it's either a request from someone (esp. since I'm a karaoke DJ, I sometimes get requests at a show and the only option to play it is to d/l it using the bar's wifi), or it's from my e-music subscription (I originally had that for all of the off-genre music they had, including the Celtic music that was difficult to find the CDs in the store).

I really like all sorts of music, and it usually is more certain songs that I can't stand rather than an entire genre... I also am really liking mashups, esp. when the DJ mixes many different songs together to form a completely new one with a new theme or use of the lyrics. Party Ben's Boulevard of Broken Songs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RCsledgOU4) was the first that I heard (I actually think I heard it on a local radio station played it once when it first came out) and he is still one of my favorite mashup artists. DJ Earworm is also a great mashup artist; every December he takes the top 25 songs of the year and makes a mashup of them -- some years the song he creates is absolutely fantastic -- and it makes for a great end-of-the-year song to play at karaoke.

taylor swift-2 songs so far, justin bieber-2/3 songs so far, nikki flores, nicki manaj- a few songs..im not a very big fan of US singers. I do listen to the radio and youtube vids but im just not a big fan of hollywood singers/celebrities. Im asian so i tend to listen to asian songs more, im not saying US singers are bad they are good-perfect just like the asian songs but i dont know why i started listening to asian songs more often this year than the past years.
** im not offending/insulting anyone here, just sharing and saying my answers,  ;)
