I never knew this and I'll have to get a stalk or two, and it's not in the actual eating of the raw veggie, but just eating the celery... I learn something new EVERY Day!

Every activity burns calories, even eating... anything not just celery. The catch is that the calories taken in in the food are usually more than those burned in it's consumption.

I eat as many foods as possible that have basically no calorie content, including celery.

I believe celery is a calorie burning food when you EAT it because it's work to digest it.  If you juice it you're getting natural sodium, nutrients and enzymes; however, it's easier to digest so may not burn as many calories after it's been juiced.

Consuming hard boiled eggs with grapefruit is also a fat burning combination.

Have a great day!

I'm not a fan of celery at all, but my mother makes a drink with it for her blood pressure. She combines some frozen cranberries, water and a celery stalk to make a mixture that helps her with that. She says she feels better once it's gotten into her system. Hopefully that will help someone else with hypertension.

I do not like celery...if it's really cooked in a chinese dish or with the flavor cooked out I won't pick it out...but usually can't stand it.
