All I can say is Good luck and God Bless. No one can do it for it you, I'm sure your aware of that. You have to have strength within you. I have associates who have overcome some things and basically its will power of how do you need to overcome this thing in your life. First thing is realize you have a problem, second work to towards getting rid of this problem that's affecting you. Many people around me have succumb to things they dislike in they life. At a point in life sometimes you have to think if this is what you want for the rest of your life to be. Do things to enlighten you even if its planting flowers or going out and speaking about what you are going thru.

You can do it, It is one step at a time and then one day at a time, lots of prayers and support. Then once you are out on your own, don't go to bars are parties with heavy drinkers. But it can be done if you want, if not then death could be around the corner. My ex died from drinking he just could not give it up or didn't want too, It is your choice.

Disregard such things as "prayers", ('magical intercessory rituals'), as being replacement self-delusions instead of drinking - what sobriety needs is the strength to confront reality, not more self-deception.  Strength comes from within and that's where you'll find it, not from some dubious supernatural sources.

Angel...its a shame FC permits a nitwit like Falcon9 to post something here.Sooner or later i am sure they will get this creep off the forum.

As a father of a son who has had a serious substance problem i understand the hell you have been going thru.I am not going to preach to you but the bible does have a scripture in it that says Jehovah <God> can give you power beyond what is normal.Of course many of us only turn to God when we need His help and then forget about Him.I am guilty of that too.But keep it in mind.

If you fail...dont be afraid to get up and dust yourself off.We are imperfect creatures and this world is wicked.

I wish you well and please from time to time tell us how you are doing.

Thanx

Nothing is impossible with God! He wants only what is best for you, even when you cannot see it or accomplish it! Through His strength and a renewal of your thinking will you succeed for life! I will pray for you....He loves and cares so much for you!  So glad you have taken the first and VERY important step in freedom!!! I KNOW you can do this!

Nothing is possible through a reliance upon such superstitious blind religious faith except for self-deception and enabling self-delusion.

Isnt it about time FC to FINALLY get this creep off the forum when he even has to come into a topic as this and disrupt it?

There's no need to be so harsh with yourself.  Simply abandon your cultish self-deceptions instead of flaming another FC member.

Fortunately for you, faith-blinded members of religious cults have the same opportunity to flame other FC members without censorship as those other members have to report attempts to ban them without violating FC policies.  Such attempts to restrict/suppress/repress/censor are not in keeping with FC policy or that of the country in which it operates.
