birdfeeders
« on: October 23, 2012, 06:41:33 am »
Does anyone have a birdfeeder?
I have seen some wth  a variety of birdseed to attract a number of species.
Home residents watch all the different birds come to eat.
It can be entertaining.

I used to feed the birds but birdseed became too costly and I had to quit feeding them.

We used to have one before we moved to the place we're at now. Don't really know where it is right now. Probably buried under some stuff in the garage.

I don't have one now, but I used to.  I enjoyed relaxing on my porch and watching the birds and the squirrels.  :)

We have bird-feeders, along with birdbaths, too.  It's neat watching the different birds migrate through, as well as many who permanently live in the area.  It's cute watching them scold each other, fight over the "best" spots, flirt with each other, and also watching them training their little ones.

I keep binoculars on hand, and have a journal/pen nearby, and a slew of bird books and guides.  Our whole family is into bird-watching now, including snapping pictures of any new birds coming through. :)
