I have used craigslist previously to sale and purchase products. This virtual garage sale sounds like a good idea. I am definitely going to look into it.

I am going to have to check that out.  Thanks for all the garage sale site info.  I only knew of craiglist and ebay.

It sounds like a great idea.  There isn't one in our current area, but there is one in the area where I grew up all my life.

My family says that it works very well.

I always thought something like that would be a great idea.  There are days where it seems like the entire neighborhood is doing garage sales and it's kinda like, just get a parking lot and have a massive sale instead of millions of individual ones.  This takes the whole thing virtual so even better.

I've been debating if I want to keep an exercise equipment or sell it since it's been in my room for almost a year with no use.  Still haven't decided yet but if I knew I wouldn't have to ship it across the country would make me more willing to try and sell it.

I didn't know people sold stuff on FB like eBay! Wow! Sounds cool! :)
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Great idea, I never thought about using facebook to sell my unwanted items. It looks like there isn't one for my area in washington state. I have heard of Listia and I actually use it myself. Its great site if you don't like ebay very much. So, I will continue using Listia for now :)

My husband and I have done ebay for a couple of years.  There is a lot to know and it's always changing so adapting to the way things are done there is key.  We've been successful with it.  The only beef I have is all the fee's.  My sister-in-law has done the facebook garage sale thing.  I'm not much of one to spend much time on facebook but I suppose if you have something in mind to get...one mans junk is another mans treasure.  With the group being so local it's probably easier to attain things than the distance involved with some craigslist deals?

I am not one for buying other peoples junk.  There is a reason they do not want it anymore.  I have never bought others junk and never plan to.

I used to sell Native American beadwork, but I just do not have the time to make the stuff as much as I used too. Now I am planning on getting into bussiness with my husband's grnadmother. I do have a freind named Russell IronCloud who does amazing Lakota work. If you interested look him up. He has a wide selection.

I have tried ebay but not with much success. Of course you pay for pictures and stuff or additioanl fees etc to better your ad, which I haven't done. But some people are very successfull at it.

I have had success on Craigslist, but you do have to be cautious. There are some really unscrupolus people out there.
