Mac has a more user-friendly interface, less bugs, and less viruses have been scripted for it.
And the more people use them, the worse it will get. Macs have WAY more security threats than Windows...just that nobody cares to take advantage of them because, as a virus coder, it makes no sense to hit a million people when you could hit 10 million.
The last time a person who was known for coding viruses for PCs was timed in how long it took to get a virus on a Mac, it took him 10 minutes.
True. But Apple thinks that their computers are worth $2000, and despite them being better than PCs overall in my opinion, they are NOT worth $2000 when I managed to get a hold of a decent PC (finally) for $250. So Macs getting as popular as Windows doesn't seem like something that would happen very soon. Now, you said virus coders "wouldn't hit 1 million when they could hit 10 million instead". This is probably a good thing, since Macs are popular for business use, and thus the "1 million" might have important info on them. Windows seem to be more popular for small business use, like video stores, not huge corporations.
It would be nice if Macs had more gaming capabilities, I hear the latest Mac has a processor capable of 8 GIGABYTES of RAM. Now tell me, Bill Gates, does YOUR computer have 8 GB of RAM? *Gates look up from his iMac...screams and tries to cover it with his coat*. Oh, it DOES.
Also, has anyone seen the new HP Touchsmart? I thought it was a Mac at first, then I hit the screen and was like "WTF??? VISTA??". Cheap copycats. Oh yeah, that brings me to another thing.... Windows is just software. I suppose that's a fortunate thing, because everyone knows Microsoft's hardware skills fail. *cough*Xbox 360*cough*. But, because of that, Windows PCs are actually made by sometimes 5 different manufacturers for the parts. Macs and OSX come from the same people, minimizing compatibility issues, and is probably their excuse for the $2000 price tag.
