Diets don't work. All you really gotta do is eat healthy and keep active. You need to eat more (smaller portions/healthier) in order to keep your metabolize going. its was the doctor keeps telling me. lol I should take my own advice... but its really hard when you have no workout buddy

There should never be a thing called a "diet". I always called it a "lifestyle change", because really that is what it truly is. If you slack off one day, it is okay. You can always start off tomorrow and feel good about yourself by going out for a run or doing some kind of workout or activity that is fun to do without feeling like exercise to you. I dread exercising on most days, but I find that it helps if I get my workout clothes ready before I go to bed, set my alarm early for the next morning and when I get up, I run or do some workout. Something about working out first thing in the morning motivates me to keep going. I also download music onto my mp3 player or ipod and rock out while I am exercising and the time goes by so fast.
I am a runner and believe me when I first started, I couldn't even run for more than 30 seconds. Now I can run a half marathon!!
It is all about determination  and consistency. If you have those to things, you won't fail.
Also, keep a calorie book to log in the calories you have eaten throughout the day. That also helps you stick with your "diet".
Hope this helps!
Good Luck!   :peace:

I gave up on the diet, I like to use portions! As in smaller portions and more walks!

Thank You.

I calorie count through out the day,

that when i finally get home from school i feel like i'm starved.

So then i end up feasting instead! -_____-

I will try to portion my food. :)

Watch very carefully your diet! Small portions are advised.

me too!
i've really started to listen to my stomach. i used to love
that "full" feeling after a big meal, but it didn't love ME, haha.
you get used to smaller portions and will begin to feel a
a different, smaller "full" feeling which leaves you satisfied
but not gorged...

pizza is the hardest! i could eat 4 or 5 slices throughout
the night... but i'll have 1 and then wait awhile. if it's still
on my mind an hour later, i'll have a second, and then i'm
satisfied. it's a challenge
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

Don't you find counting calories exhausting? Just drink a nice big glass of water before every meal and you'll be fine.

@cloudsoup,

That is very good advice.  Its all a mind game, if you watch any television and you see all the ads about food and then
you want to have some.  It is very important to drink water 30 minutes before dinner, or if you do not like that try a cup of chicken stock  soup.

as long as you have the mindset of "diet" it will never work.

You need to make lifestyle changes. diets do not last forever.

Plan your meals and snacks and then count calories.  That takes the hassle out of it.
