Mard....just because one calls themselves xtian in this world does that mean in Gods eyes they are?

Im tired saying this...so many religeous sects claim they teach bible but dont. Most support politics rather then Gods word.So of course they will do whatever they want.

Think about this, how would you feel if you were Creator and saw so many different types of worship? Its man deciding how you are being served.

Sorry,Bible is very clear how God wants to be obeyed and served and this world serves another god.And Jesus referred to him as satan. In turn he is in power of all the political and religeous stuff thats going on.

We are all free to decide whos side we are on.And faith without works is dead says bible.

I'm a CHRISTIAN and I choose to not celebrate Halloween. DO your research on the holiday. Don't just not celebrate Halloween because of what you've been told. It truly is a satanic holiday. Research Easter, and Christmas as well. Its just all a way for society to generate money. Waste of time for me. My church offers alternatives for the kids, and I happily choose to get candy for the kids from the church without having to dress them up as witches and monsters.

Nice post Kim.

The JWs dont say you cant have a party and dress up and eat goodies....they just respect how God feels about certain practices and false religeon and its plain to see that halloween and many other holidays originated in Babylon where false religeon reined aplenty.

Its almost like drinking..drinking isnt condemned..getting drunk is.The bible says wine can make your heart rejoice and is good for your stomach....but too much of it can be the bite of a serpent.

When i was younger i was blind to a lot of this stuff. When i learned truth i examined it and see that much of it is really wrong in Gods eyes....and the bible is the rule book.

Just a few things RE other holidays.

I think its safe to say most of us appreciate receiving a gift from the heart then one giving us one because they felt they had to <birthdays & xmas>

Also Re birthdays and them NOT sitting well in Gods eyes. They draw attn to us and the bible tells us to represent Jesus in humility. And also remember John the Baptists head was given as a birthday gift too.

A survey will show you that Halloween is often the favorite holida for kids.  I don't think it's because of the dark side - it's because of the fun in dressing up and the candy. (which some think is demonic :-)  I never allowed any frightening decorations in our house and we concentrated on the fun.  There are many churches and organizations that do have fall parties now days.  I think they are great!  ;)

If you can falsely assert that "all hallows eve" is a "satanic holiday", then any "research" you claimed to have done is dubious.

I'm a CHRISTIAN and I choose to not celebrate Halloween. DO your research on the holiday. Don't just not celebrate Halloween because of what you've been told. It truly is a satanic holiday.

I think it is ok to celebrate Halloween.  Make it what you want it to be.  To me it is a chance for the kids to dress like their favorite super hero or princess and laugh with their friends.  The candy is a great bonus too.  Keep a positive heart about it and have some fun!!

It's just a fun holiday, try to lay back and enjoy it.  Forget about the devil and all of that crap.  It's all just in fun.

I apply your advice to "xmas" and forget about faux 'g-ds' "and all that crap" too.  It's winter solstice, near December 21st and that has nothing whatsoever to do with latter cultural thefts by plagiarizing xtians.

I don't see the problem with letting your 6 year old dress like The Little Mermaid and eat candy for a day.It reminds me of how someone was saying the Care Bears were evil some time ago. Some people look a little too much into something, sometimes.

I don't think things people did in their superstitions a couple hundred years ago refelect the way the day is spent nowadays.Actually, people who fear things like that, only serve to strengthen the convictions of athiests that brand us as "superstitious".

My advice is to do what your conscience dictates on this issue. If you feel its wrong, don't do it.That goes with the principle taught in Romans 14 "I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean."

On the contrary, the same religious superstitions of judeo-xtians hundreds of years ago are reflected in the ignorantly superstitious beliefs they hold today.  This is evident by some xtian posts declaring "halloween" to be a "satanic holiday", (a false accusation reflecting prior and current ignorance).

;D Well, I am a christian and have been for a long time - we let our children who are now grown dress up (nothing demonic or evil looking) and we let them trick-or-treat for candy. Last year I was going to send a friend's grandchildren halloween cards and candy in the mail and I asked her if her children celebrated Halloween.  She said no we don't celebrate it but we do observe it.  Now may sound like a play on words but it made sense to me and I agree with you - its a dressing up and candy day.  If you are a christian and you aren't out there celebrating satan, demons, ghosts whatever it doesn't hurt children to have some fun.  That is my feeling on it.  :dontknow:

If you're a xtian and implying that "all hallows eve", (the diluted revision of what's now known as "halloween"), is 'satanic' in any way, but allow your children to beg for candy in "observation" of a pagan celebration, you're a hypocrite.
