36 and having a baby

No ur not crazy. I dont think that i would do it that late in life. I am just so glad that i am done with the bottles and the diapers. That i can do without. Do u have anymore children and what are hoping to have a boy or a girl?

My mom had me at 36 and if you ask her she will tell you that she didn't have the patience for me like she did my siblings at a younger age, also, I always felt like my parents where more like grandparents compared to the other moms and dads at school functions.

I agree congrats! Never too old.... I know people well into their 40's having kids. David Letterman was 52. I forgot how old his wife was.

While the risks of complications do increase after age 35, the percent is not that different from the risk of complications for women 25-30. The major concern for women over 35 is they will have a harder time getting pregnant. Now that you are, simply get enough rest, light exercise (i.e. walking), eat healthy balanced meals..etc. Congratulations.
