What type of parrots? I've only had parakeets. I really want to get a pair of lovebirds!

What kind of parrots do you have?  I've got an African Brown Headed Parrot.  He's 21-1/2 years old now.  I've had him since he was about 3 months old.

I think parrots are very pretty but I've never owned one.  I've had several cockatiels thru the years with my last one dying just a little over a month ago.  He was over 16 years old but really thought they lived till about 25.  Don't know why he dyed; he was fine the last night I covered his cage but the next morning when I went to uncover him he was laying on the bottom of the cage dead.  We had had him little over 6 years and he will be missed.

I'm with ya, girl!  I love to watch the birds.  In Arizona, there's a fantastic variety even in your own front yard!  Last summer, I had 3 baby Hummingbirds living in one of my trees.  They were amazing!  Once in a while, we'd get the friendly Roadrunner who liked to jump roofs and then down on to the sidewalk.  I love the Boat Tailed Grackles (they remind me of Ravens), and my favorite is when I see the Red Tailed Hawks soaring above me.

I use to have some parrots a few cockatiels and a canary. My moms has a few parrots, she loves them to death. I guess that's a good thing.

We've got a LOT of Mourning Doves here.  It's neat to see how they choose their mate and they stick together like glue!  Believe it or not, last summer we made a trip to the local Michael's store (it's an arts and craft store).  Upon entering the parking lot, they've got a wall going around the lot.  I turned just in time to see a baby White Owl sitting on the wall.  I was blown away, it was so beautiful!

I like birds, but only outside ones.  My son had a bird, he called him hawkeye, and when he died, we had to bury him by our house and put up a marker :)

I had an african gray. He was amazing. He died last summer. They are very smart birds. He loved to talk and wanted to be where ever I was. He would call the dogs whistle bark and so much more. If the phone rang he would say hello if he saw me pick up my purse he would say good by because I usually picked it up just before I would leave the house. I miss him he was like part of the family.

I think birds are so interesting.  My neighborhood has so many Mockingbirds, Cardinals to just name a couple.  They make a lot of chatter early in the mornings.
