Sugar Maple, Oak, Sumac, Birch, Poplar, Crab Apple, and other autumn foliages

How is the weather treating your colorful Autumn trees and shrubs? Are they vibrant and enduring well? Our dry weather is prematurely killing the tree leafs on our foliages here in northern Minnesota. However, we've received the fluorescent or 'popsicle' oranges, reds, and yellows of Fall season in the sugar maple trees. The leaves' colors are extremely dry and dull in their colors. Am hoping some of the colors wull hang in there until November 2012?

Out here in Southwestern Pennsylvania the colors are at "Moderate" level so far.  They are not as bright and pretty as they usually are and I think its because of the extreamely hot weather we had this summer.  We are not at peak yet. So maybe they will get better, that is if the ones that are out already stick around long enough.  I hope so, I do really love the beautiful colors of  our falls out here.

I'm in New England and surprisingly enough, we haven't seen much change yet! It's been very wet recently, so I don't know how that's affecting things.

Hopefully we'll see some really pretty colors this year though! We missed out on most of it last year due to a Halloween snowstorm destroying most of our foliage

We don't have many colorful trees in Oregon. Mostly Douglas firs and Oak trees which are rather ugly in fall (brown dull leaves). I wish we had more colorful falls.
