Survey takers

Just wondering...

Has taking product surveys ever influenced your purchases, or have you ever taken a survey on a potential new product then seen it on the shelves?

The only surveys that have influenced me in any way are usually the ones where they send you a product to try in the mail.

Everytime i take a survey they say, I'm not qualified for this survey. I wonder what that's about! I stopped doing them for a while. :angry7:

It seems that I am not the only one in that boat, when I take surveys, they either say, unfortunately the survey is closed or I am not what they are looking for today. Anyway keep trying until you get one that sticks!!!

That happens to me a lot, in fact most of the time I'm never approved.  Even some of the simplest sounding surveys I just don't qualify for, just don't think they like my age...too old.  lol

I've taken surveys about different foods and ended up trying them. I don't think I've seen any other products and decided that I wanted that even if I've seen them in stores. I usually see them and think those are expensive for what they supposedly do

If it is something I would normally buy yes I did a survey on the different flavors of cream cheese before they hit shelves it had me looking for sure the chocolate is so good lol I have tested new foods and products and can't say I'd buy one of them they were all awful so glad I got to test them before I wasted my money

I can think of one survey I did about a year ago regarding Brita water. They sent me a blue water bottle with a filter that I still use. Most of the other surveys didn't influence me as much. I guess they have a greater chance of influencing people if they can get something into their hands.

There have been some of those surveys that you get a free trial of a product to try out. Some of those surveys end up influencing me into wanting to buy a product.

Good question! I haven't bought anything from the surveys that I have taken, but it has made me want something during that time of taking the survey, especially a chocolate survey.... Lol

Every once in a while I see a product on the shelf after I have tested a product or done a survey. It ususally takes a LONG time to see it though.

Me too. Samples have worked for me in this way as well.

I have been a bit more motivated to go to a restaurant after taking food surveys and some technology surveys have inspired me to seek certain vendors when going to tradeshows to learn more about them. On the other respect poorly designed surveys have put a sour note to how I think of some company brands too.
