I'm uncertain as to if you're trying to show a political, sociological, or religious point. Answering the thread's title, it depends on which god you're referring to though. If it's the biblegod, then the answer is "not really". The bible has a track record of being written by misogynists. At certain points it just says women should just sit down and shut up-

"Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.” –Paul, 1 Timothy 2:11-15

I believe that women are treated just as well as men and that is the way it should be, right?

I believe that if you will take an honest look at how women were treated before Jesus and then after Christianity took hold you will see a big difference in how women were treated. You are always going to have men that abuse women but a real man cherishes women. :)

The honest look reveals xtianity treating women poorly, (the inquistions, faux witch hunts and general mysogny promoted by the xtian religion).

"The Bible as we have it contains elements that are scientifically incorrect or even morally repugnant. No amount of 'explaining away' can convince us that such passages are the product of Divine Wisdom."

Very True.In fact the very first person honored to see the Risen Savior was a woman.God treats all equally.

Very True.

No, that's demonstrably false; a the inquisitions, faux witch hunts and on-going misogyny of xtianity clearly demonstrates, (except to the faith-blinded).

In fact the very first person honored to see the Risen Savior was a woman.God treats all equally.

That conclusion does not derive from the premise and constitutes the irrational (non)thinking typical of religious superstitious beliefs.

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations."
-- attributed to Buddha

God cares about everyone. None of us will be protected from the harsh realities of life. Things happen all of the time. Some of us are less fortunate than others, but I don't see the women as honestly suffering more than men.

The initial a priori premise, (that there is a "g-d" to be caring/uncaring), is unsupported by validly-attributible evidence. Therefore, the question is a non sequitur; something which ha not been established to exist can neither care nor, not care about anything.

God cares about everyone. None of us will be protected from the harsh realities of life. Things happen all of the time. Some of us are less fortunate than others, but I don't see the women as honestly suffering more than men.

Of course God cares about women. Why would he not?

If there is no accurately-attributible evidence of such a supernatural entity, how could a hypothetical one care or not care?

Of course God cares about women. Why would he not?

The "God" that I know cares about THIS woman.  It also works out very well for me to hold that idea in my belief system.
Have a great day!

Looks like the blind uneducated fools that know little about their source-of-info arrived. You might be able to point out one or two small happy little aspects involving one girl, but you're just being ignorant of knowing your god and his cohorts have major problems with women and treat women like crap in these ancient texts. If you can read, I recommend you open your bible and taking a look at it. You have plenty of misogyny and polygamy happening left and right. Women are treated as cattle pretty much throughout the entire thing. And when they aren't, they're usually the antagonist of the tale. If you support women's rights and support what the bible preaches or take it as truth, you're a hypocrite plain and simple.
